Orissacinema.com is deeply aggrieved by the news related to critical health conditions of the ace Ollywood actor and director Hara Patnaik.
Sri Patnaik has been diagnosed having blood cancer and since April 28, he is admitted at the Vellore-based Christian Medical College. At this initial stage, he is being treated with chemotherapy.
Readers should know that the cost of treatments will run into amounts exceeding Rs60 lakhs. It is only desired that those of us who are able and willing should contribute to this cause of medical treatment.
Oriya film fraternity has extended its support towards facilitating donation for Sri Patnaik’s treatment. Orissa Cine Artist Association has informed that several “Ollywood Nite” events are being organized in Orissa to raise funds. Senior artists including Debu Bose, Bijaya Mohanty and Siddhant Mohapatra have addressed the press to make the public appeal and to show solidarity.
Orissacinema.com also requests its readers to contact Mr Bishnu Prasad Patnaik, younger brother of the filmmaker to make any timely contributions as possible, and also to extend moral supports to his family.

It has amply been illustrated that Odias have the capability for any achievement, to borrow the diction from Kalpana Das. They can immortalise events in mortal frame. They can get a new lease of life for Hara Patnaik, the doyen of the entertainment world, on the sheer strength of will power like the legendary Mukuta Dei (mother of Govinda Chandra), Savitri and Naciketa. When there is a will, there is surely a way.

Not even a good actor but he is an excellent personality. All knows him because of his unique styles and dialogs. No one can fulfill his position except Hara Patnayak himself .Whatever we are observing in orissa filim industry maxmimum credit goes to respected Hara patnayak because of his creative direction and acting.
Like Amjad Khan(Gabar sing) and Amris Puri of Bollywood , Hara Patnayak is the Only one of Ollywood.

I am a Oriya man having Telugu as Mother tongue. Highly invlove myself with Oriya films.
Verysorry to note the illness of Hara Bhai.
One request to the well wishers, near & dear of Mr. Hara PatnaiK.
One my relation was suffering from intestinal cancer. Worlds best available treatment was given to her. after 6 months, on scan… it was noticed that the whole lungs, kidney got affected and no allopetheic medicine can cure.
All hopes are left….

Hara pattnaik is the back bone of the oriya film. If back bone will break the oriya film industry break down.
